About Jenn

I’m Jenn, the founder of Ascension Mountain. I’m an avid trail runner, mountain climber, adventurer, and yoga and meditation teacher with a deep love for nature and embodied living. My passion is guiding others toward harmony and peace in the heart, body, and mind — to live lives that feel joyful, meaningful, and fulfilling.

I hope to invite you into my world of adventure, introduce spiritual practice as a way of life, and explore what it means to live a heart- and spirit-led path.

Movement has always been an anchor for me, and nature has been my greatest teacher. Zion holds a very special place in my heart. I’ve spent countless hours running, exploring, and meditating in these mountains, and I feel a deep personal connection to this land. It feels like a sacred place to gather, receive, and return to the core of who we truly are.

  • The Zion Running Retreat is ideal for individuals who feel called to move their bodies in nature while exploring their inner landscape. It is for those who enjoy trail running, hiking, or purposeful movement and are comfortable being active for extended periods, while also feeling open to meditation, reflection, and spiritual practice.

It is for those seeking clarity, strength, and deeper connection to themselves and the natural world. You do not need prior experience with meditation or spiritual practices, only a willingness to slow down, listen inward, and engage fully in the experience.

Whether you come from a background in fitness, endurance sports, yoga, or simply feel drawn to movement and nature as a path for self-discovery, this retreat offers a experience that is fun, fulfilling, reflection, and provides participants practical tools for bringing the spirit and strength into everyday life.

  • No. You do not need to be a fast runner to attend this retreat. This is a multi-level experience, and we will have multiple pace groups to accommodate different abilities and intentions. Some participants may choose to use the runs as training sessions and move at a faster pace, while others may prefer a slower, more exploratory pace with options to hike or jog.

All runs are zero-drop, meaning no one is left behind. You should feel comfortable being active and moving continuously for the duration of the outings, but speed is not the focus. Our experienced guides support both beginner-friendly trail movement and more advanced runners.

This retreat is about intentional movement, nature immersion, and learning how to move the body from a grounded, present, and heart-led place. The goal is not performance, but connection—strengthening the body while cultivating clarity, resilience, and harmony in the mind and spirit.

  • Daily trail runs and hikes will generally last about 1–2 hours at a time, depending on the day, pace group, terrain, and elevation. Distances will vary based on individual pace and route selection, with options that include run/walk and hiking-focused groups as well as steady trail running for those who want a stronger physical challenge.Participants should feel comfortable being active and moving continuously for up to two hours on trails, but no racing or competitive experience is expected.

  • Canyoneering is a guided outdoor adventure that involves exploring slot canyons through hiking, scrambling, and optional rappelling. This experience will be fully guided by experienced professionals, and all technical gear is provided.

No prior canyoneering experience is required. The day is designed to be accessible, safe, and empowering, offering a unique way to connect with nature, move through challenge with support, and build trust in yourself and the environment.

  • You have free cancellation up to September 5, 2026. After September 5, 2026 your booking is NON-REFUNDABLE. We encourage travel insurance for your event, as this is a big investment, and if weather or other circumstances forbid your arrival we can not offer refunds UNLESS you or we can refill your space.

  • Airfare or ground transport to/from Springdale, UT. We suggest flying in/out of Las Vegas (LAS). They tend to have the best flights and inexpensive car rentals. Then it is a 2.5-hour car drive from LAS to Nama-Stay/Springdale. Saint George Municipal Airport (SGU). is closer, but is often more difficult to find the right scheduled flights and price. From SGU it is an 1-hour car drive to Nama-Stay/Springdale. If you DO NOT want to rent a car, there is transport available via the Saint George Shuttle. If none of these options work for you, send us an email and we will try to help ease the logistics and help you arrive!
